Greene County is a county located in the state of Tennessee, United States. The county seat is the city of Greeneville. The county has a total area of 624 square miles, with a population of over 68,000 as of the 2010 census.
The county is divided into 9 civil districts and is bordered by several other counties including Washington, Unicoi, Cocke, Hamblen, and Hawkins. There are several notable landmarks in Greene County including the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site, which includes the President's Homestead, the Andrew Johnson Museum and Library, and the Andrew Johnson Cemetery.
